I love to be part of a board that helps its organization realize its fullest potential, now and into the future. To me that means being passionate about mission, and having attainable goals, strong governance, and clear roles.
An integrative approach to the whole health of a person lays the groundwork for a healthy community. I believe the importance of Sojourns is that how it does its work with individuals, by caring for body and spirit, ripples out into the world and helps to create positive change. I am excited to help support this work.
My skill sets include survey research, facilitation and evaluation; I have a special interest in how individual and community health intersect; and I have been an officer and director of many non-profit boards throughout the New England Region.
I have a PhD in Sociology from Boston College, an MBA in Sustainability from Antioch University, an MA in Community Social Psychology from University of Massachusetts and a BA in Education from Boston College.
